Support Defective by Design

Defective by Design has been protesting against DRM since 2006, working with a global community of supporters to eliminate DRM as a threat to your freedom and privacy. We also maintain a guide to media that is DRM-free, including books, video, audio, and software.

Your contribution will help us continue the fight against DRM by planning events across the globe, putting pressure on media distributors and music streaming services, and maintaining our Guide to DRM-Free Living. Along with individuals and organizations, we put together Internation Day Against DRM every year.

In 2017, Defective by Design ran campaigns focused on renewal submissions to the U.S. Copyright Office and fighting against the inclusion of Encrypted Media Extensions (EME) in Web Standards.
